A great change has been witnessed at Fort Munro this year. I would thank Allah and praise the efforts of the staff of Fort Munro Development Authority (FMDA) and district administration. The credit goes to the Punjab Government and Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for prioritizing Fort Munro for the people of #SouthPunjab and eastern Baluchistan.
This year, water availability was ensured due to the laid pipe network, which benefited the rich and poor alike, through Punjab’s first registration-based water supply scheme.
Furthermore, waste management was ensured throughout Fort Munro by the Solid Waste Management team which performed at its best.
The law and order situation was completely under control, which was ensured by Fort Munro Development Authority (FMDA) Security, Border Military Police (BMP) and Rangers. Also there were no traffic jams this year on Eid at Fort Munro for the first time, with a record number of tourists entering the area.
InshAllah within the next few months, all the roads and parks/car parks that are currently under construction will be completed. We will also promote activities such as camping, paragliding and rock climbing etc. in near future. Also, the facilities of dedicated parks, toilets and recreation facilities for families will be introduced. This is is just the beginning.
