REHABILITATION / WIDENING (FROM 10’ TO 12’) OF ROAD FROM SHERO TO GHOUS ABAD VIA JAKHAR IMAM-JHOKE UTTRA TO BASTI REKRA LENGTH = 25.00 KM
The Proposed road off takes from Sheroo and terminates at Ghous Abad via Jhakhar Imam, Jhoke Uttra and Basti Rekera having total Length 25.00 Kms . The entire road passes through very fertile area which is rich in producing agricultural products i.e. Wheat, cotton, sugarcane and paddy type crops. Before rehabilitation the existing 10ft metalled width road was in deteriorated condition and the peasants had to face a lot of problems to haul their agricultural products to the near by market Jampur and Kot Chutta.
The road have been rehabilitated under the programme KPRRP (Phase-I) Estimated cost Amounting to Rs:242.840 Million with 2” thick asphalt (Carpet), 12ft metalled width and 24ft formation width facilitating the commuters as well as the local inhabitants of the area. The road will serve about 150000 people bringing the prosperity in the area by boosting the socio economic activities.
